set of 6 handmade porcelain buttons

buttons measure roughly 1 1/8" in diameter

each button passes through my hands during the making process; rolling out a flat slab of clay, cutting out the round blanks, poking button holes, cleaning up the buttons, bisque firing the buttons, brushing on or dipping the buttons in glaze, glaze firing the buttons, then grouping like buttons together for packs.

these buttons are a labour of love and offer an accessable into to art object collection, gifting, transforming garments and accessories.

care guide: 

- attach to garment for function or as accessories with durable sewing thread.  We suggest Gütermann sew-all tread.

* a note from experience * embroidery thread, while boasting beautiful colours, is not durable and will break over time with regular use *

- wash garment or item with buttons sewn on, inside out to ensure the buttons don't come into contact with the walls of a washer or dryer.  Better yet, handwash and hang to dry
